In this podcast, I find it amazing that the teacher could put two things he loves into one. His students took interest in martial arts so he found ways to fit into his teachings. I found this to be great because I personally love when a teacher makes class interesting by doing the little things. I also found it very interesting when he explained the drop out rate due to standardized tests and "students still need a teacher who is willing to fight". I agree with this quote, I think that teachers should still fight for their students.

My favorite line in this podcast was "I believe that education has the power to transform a person’s life." I really could not agree more with this. If someone does not receive an education, they are not open to as many opportunities. Without opportunities, there are not many experiences. I believe that experiences are what make up and build a person. People learn new things by going to school, both book work and real life experiences. With a good education many more doors open to careers and jobs, which eventually down the road may transform a person's life. The experiences a person receives helps them grow and helps them face the real world.

My favorite line in this podcast was "Looking back, I realize that the most important things she taught me were valuable life lessons about patience and endurance, and probably most importantly to have faith." This podcast had a great story behind the girl's Nonas successfulness. I agree that life lessons are what push people through and help get them through the real world. The girl's faith is what pushed her through all the hard times and I believe that patience is a key to life. Without patience, things can't happen. I find it amazing that she grew up knowing nothing to knowing up to eventually being able to speak 5 different languages.
